
Sónia Bombico and Leonor Dias Garcia took part in the 14th EURINT International Conference – Building Tomorrow’s Europe: Strategies for Integration, Growth, and Resilience, held from May 15 to 18 at the Centre for European Studies of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iași, Romania.
The researchers presented findings from the MEDHEUS project – Mediterranean Cultural Heritage in European Policies, highlighting the role of Mediterranean cultural heritage in the construction of European identity.
Their presentation, entitled European Identity and Cultural Heritage: The Mediterranean Has Its Say, also examined how this heritage has been politically instrumentalized to promote cultural cohesion, Euro-Mediterranean cooperation, and cultural diplomacy.
